Missing racers

April 30, 2016

Unfortunately, it looks like a couple of racers have gone missing. Remember, if the owners decide to send out proxies under the same TB name and number, they can re-enter the race (and still keep the sad distinction of first ones out).

Germany, Florida logged

April 30, 2016

A whole handful of racers accompanied ravestorm to Bayern, Germany after flying into Bologna, Italy, resulting in a 3-country total for all of them.

MacFive's GCF Fundraiser unlocked Florida for another US state off the checklist. The racers continue to spread across the states and, increasingly,…

Finland gets a visit

April 25, 2016

Rowdy the Red Racer (via regmgkc) is currently in Tom Sawyer, Kentucky's oldest cache. It also logged West Virginia, the first TB Marcher to visit there.

Impressively, in under two months TB March entrants have logged the oldest caches in 9 US states (as well as the oldest in BC Canada). How long…

April 24, 2016

Adventurous TB Marchers Rowdy the Red Racer and Bouncing Tigger have logged South Carolina and Octopus' Garden, North Carolina's oldest. Judging from the logs, West Virginia shouldn't be far behind.

North Carolina logged

April 24, 2016

Bouncing Tigger and Rowdy the Red Racer are in North Carolina, our 26th logged US state. This also places these two racers into a three-way tie for first in states logged, with nine.

Delighted to announce that the log just posted for our 25th state, Maryland, and it was Sioneva checking in from her adventure on the Appalachian Trail, dropping Mom & Little J's GCF Welcome. Follow Sioneva's hiking adventure at atsioneva.com.

24th state, update complete

April 23, 2016

Tennessee has been logged by two TB Marchers, giving us 24 states.

The stats are updated as of midday Saturday, April 23, but of course there are always more logs coming in, especially on weekends. Keeping up with mileage is done with the live thumbnails; drops and retrievals are tracked with w…

TB Marchers have now logged seven states' oldest geocaches.

Hawaii, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri

Another state, another country

April 19, 2016

Full update almost done, but I wanted to note that bibbidi-bobbidi-boo is in London, and a handful of racers have logged Kentucky. The march goes on!

With four countries off the list, I've added a map of visited countries under the heading "WORLDWIDE."

The trouble with mileage

April 6, 2016

One reason to emphasize the fun and adventurous aspects of trackable travel in this race, as opposed to just racking up distance points, is the trouble with mileage.

A handful of racers are currently accompanying a very well-traveled cacher with tons of finds, which is great. But if you go strict…

Geeky map fun

April 6, 2016

Bouncing Tigger (in the hands of regmgkc) and Lightning McQueen (in the hands of GmawCache) were each last spotted less than 4 miles from each other, yet in two different states. Kansas City's State Line Road separated them. Rowdy the Red Racer was with Bouncing Tigger as well.
